Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Special Correspondent
A press release on Thursday said the settlement was the result of Microsoft's Dealer Test Purchase Programme (DTPP), which seeks to identify computer dealers who `hard disk load' unlicensed or pirated software onto PCs, which are then sold. It said PCs purchased from the Hyderabad dealers-Rensons Computers, Premier Diginet Systems, and Computer Den-revealed that illegal copies of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office were installed on the hard disk of computers. The three dealers agreed to settle with Microsoft before matters were referred to Courts for Civil proceedings, it said.
