Golf
According to information reaching here on Friday, Chiranjeev was four strokes behind the leader, Japan's Hideki Kase, at the par-72 Sapporo Bay Golf Club in Hokkaido. The Indian had opened with a splendid 66 and was seven-under 137 at the midway stage. Chiranjeev started from the 10th tee and was two-over with bogeys on the 12th and 14th holes. But he recovered and made birdies on the 15th, 18th, first and the ninth holes. With another bogey of the par-3 sixth, where Chiranjeev three-putted, he had to be satisfied with tied 12th position. The cut was applied at 142 and 66 players made it to the weekend rounds.
