On August 16, Onam markets would be opened at all the remaining taluk and municipal headquarters plus fair price stalls in association with the cooperative societies of all panchayats. The Minister said that the sales made through such stalls would be at prices that stood at 40 per cent lower than the open market prices on essential commodities.
