Qazi, new Pak. envoy to U.S.

ISLAMABAD AUG. 1. Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, till recently Pakistan's Ambassador to India, would be the new Ambassador to the United States replacing Maleeha Lodhi, who has completed her term and expressed her desire to return home.

Mr. Qazi had spent over five years in New Delhi as Ambassador and Islamabad recalled him after India decided to seek his withdrawal in the wake of a terrorist attack in Jammu in May.
