Workers lay siege to EB office

Pondicherry Aug.1 . Workers and employees of the Pondicherry Electricity Department today laid seige to the main office at Vambakeerapalayam near here. The staff wanted fixing of overtime allowance at Rs. 16.50 per hour without ceiling. They also protested amalgamation of cadres and participation of private players in executing the department`s schemes.
