TVS Motor Company has registered a strong sales performance with motorcycle sales in July going up by 113 per cent over the same period last year. The improved offtake was due to strong demand for the TVS Victor which continues to generate large orders as well as the resurging seasonal demand for the Max 100 and Max 100R bikes. Motorcycle sales were 54,986 units in July (25,862 units). From April to July, total sales were 2.16 lakh units (1.12 lakh units). In scooters, TVS Scooty sales were up at 18,781 units (15,138 units) in July but Moped sales were lower at 21,352 units (26,115 units). Overall, July sales were 95,119 units (67,115 units); an increase of 42 per cent.
