Microsoft launches EPM software `Project 2002'

NEW DELHI AUG. 1. Microsoft Corporation India today announced foray into enterprise project management through the launch of a software `Project 2002' targeting e-governance projects, IT services companies and infotech department of large companies.

The software major has tied up with the management consultant firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and the U.S.-based Project Management Institute for the new initiative.

"The new features and enhancements in Microsoft Project 2002 make it a robust and flexible business solution for enterprise customers,'' the Microsoft India group marketing head, Sanjiv Mathur, said in a statement.

The software would enable executives, shareholders and project managers to get a better insight into and control over the enterprise for better decision-making and utilisation of resources. — PTI
