Ministers to pray for 'Amma'

CHENNAI Aug. 1 . State Ministers and AIADMK functionaries will gather at the famed Parthasarathy temple in the city tomorrow to pray for their leader, Jayalalithaa's ``continuance as Chief Minister for long'', and propitiate the Rain Gods as well.

A line-up of poojas, homams and archanas — all adding up to nine, Ms. Jayalalithaa's lucky number — will be performed.

The prayer mela includes as many as 108 ``kalasa pooja'', chanting of ``sahasranamam'' 1008 times and poojas worshipping 108 cows.
