`Sri Lankan Minister did not carry message to Pak.'

New Delhi July 16. India today denied that it has requested Sri Lanka to carry any message on its behalf to Pakistan, but said New Delhi's concerns over infiltration of terrorists from across the border were conveyed to Colombo during the External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha's visit to the island nation last week.

The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Tyronne Fernando, now on a visit to Pakistan, said that he had conveyed India's concerns over cross-border terrorism during a meeting with the President, Pervez Musharraf.

``I conveyed to the President (Pervez Musharraf) the concerns of the External Affairs Minister but I do not see a role for myself as a mediator between the two countries'', Mr. Fernando told reporters. — PTI
