Rupee recovers partially

MUMBAI JULY 16. The rupee recovered partially and ended moderately higher against the U.S. currency today, well supported by fairly heavy dollar sell-off by exporters as well as good supplies.

In a moderately active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market here, the Indian unit finished up by 3.50 paise at 48.80/81 a dollar against 48.8350/8450, after opening better at 48.83/84. The RBI fixed the reference rate for the dollar at Rs. 48.82. — PTI
