Tamil Nadu continues to dominate

KOLKATA JULY 6. Services in the men's section (seniors) and Tamil Nadu in the sub-junior section dominated the events in the semifinals of seventh sprint and fifth sub-junior national rowing championship held here at the Lake Club course on Saturday.

Justifying the form it displayed in the league stage, Tamil Nadu girls and boys reached the finals in seven out of the eight events in the sub-juniors' section. Challenging Tamil Nadu's title hopes will be host Bengal, which moved into four finals — two in each category.

Services too stamped its class by sweeping into all the finals in both elite and challenger class. In the women's category, Kerala was prominent by winning two semifinals.
