Woman found killed

HYDERABAD July 4. A woman (40), Anuradha Devi, was found murdered at Nutan colony under Bowenpally police station limits this morning. The victim, wife of Devender, who worked as a constable in Medak, was said to have been smothered to death with a pillow.

Devender claimed that his wife was raped and killed.

Food poisoning

Nine students of Intermediate first year of the Kakatiya Residential College were admitted to a private hospital in Vivekanandanagar last night after they began vomiting on having dinner. The Kukatpally police suspect it to be a case of food poisoning. The students were reportedly out of danger.

Gold taken away

Unidentified miscreants barged into the house of one Pentaiah in Chengicherla village under Nacharam police station limits last night and decamped with five tolas of gold. They also inflicted a stab injury on Pentaiah's wife, Shantamma.

16 kg of ganja seized

A person, Shyamlal Pandit, was arrested and 16 kg of ganja seized by task force sleuths of the Prohibition and Excise Department. Pandit purchased the material from Dichpally in Nizamabad district at Rs. 1,500 per kg and was selling in areas around NFC.
