In an interaction with mediapersons here on Wednesday, they praised the Mayor, Rajana Ramani, and the Municipal Commissioner, Sanjay Jaju, for taking this trend-setting initiative. ``This citizen-friendly system is bound to be a model for emulation by all civic bodies in the country,'' they averred. In all, 33 elected representatives and officials from the Tamil Nadu Government and corporations of Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Salem and Tirunelveli and municipalities of Tambaram, Ambattur, Kanchipuram, Erode and Tirupur and urban development projects in the regions of Chengalpattu, Tirupur, Thanjavur and Tirunelveli formed part of the delegation. They included the Project Director (TN UDP-II), M. Devaraj, the Municipal Administration Commissioner, V.K. Jeyakodi, the Mayors, D. Malaravan (Coimbatore), R. Suresh Kumar (Salem), Sarubala R. Thondaiman (Tiruchi), and the Corporation Municipal Commissioners, A. Kartik (Madurai), D. Karthikeyan (Coimbatore), T. Paluchamy (Salem), R. Venkatesan (Tiruchi) and Harmender Singh (Tirunelveli). The Gajuwaka Municipal Chairman, T. Gurumurthy Reddy, the Joint Collector, M.T. Krishna Babu, and corporators and civic officials were present during the interaction.
