Serena stalker arrested

LONDON JULY 4. A man alleged to have stalked Serena Williams has been arrested at Wimbledon on charges of breach of the peace and criminal damage, police said on Thursday.

Albrecht Stromeyer, 34, of Frankfurt, Germany, was arrested on Wednesday on the approaches to the All England Club in southwest London, Scotland Yard said. He allegedly rode a bicycle into a police camera crew.

Stromeyer was due to appear before magistrates in Wimbledon on Thursday morning, where police were making an application for him to be held in custody.— AP
