Addressing the 47th meeting of the National SSI Board, she said through this legislation, the Government was pushing the boundaries in an endeavour to enlarge the space for small-scale units. Changes were being looked at in all areas including credit, labour, delayed payments and mandatory purchase preference. The draft of the legislation has been prepared by the Hyderabad-based Administrative Staff College of India at the request of the Small-Scale Industries Ministry.
