Tendulkar nominated for FICA award

London July 4. India's master batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka are among the six players nominated for the International Cricket Council's Cricketer of the Year award, officials have disclosed.

Jacques Kallis, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Mahela Jayawardene are the other nominees of the Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) award. The winner will be announced at the FICA International Awards dinner to be held in London on July 10. Further, Australia and Sri Lanka are nominated for the best International Team award.
