Cong. `padayatra' in Himayatnagar constituency

HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. A host of leaders belonging to the City unit of the Congress, on Tuesday, undertook a `padayatra' in the Himayatnagar Assembly Constituency.
According to a press release, the `padayatra' started from Ramanthapur Polytechnic School and covered places like Ramanthapur, Amberpet, Bagh Amberpet and Tilaknagar. During the `padayatra', people complained of the drainage system, drinking water supply and high-tension wires passing over houses. The citizens demanded ration cards to slum-dwellers and issue of house pattas to those belonging to the SCs and STs and other weaker sections.
Among those who participated in the `padayatra' were the secretary of the All-India Congress Committee, Mr. V. Hanumanatha Rao, the vice-president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Gade Venkata Reddy and the City unit president, Mr. M. Anjan Kumar Yadav.for internet edition
