Special trains to clear Sabarimala pilgrims

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 11. The Southern Railway will run winter special trains in the Secunderabad-Kottayam, Kakinada-Kottayam and Narasapur-Kottayam stretches to clear the heavy rush of Sabarimala pilgrims.
As per this, the 724/723 Secunderabad-Kottayam special will depart from Secunderabad at 12-30 p.m. to arrive at Kottayam railway station at 6 p.m. on the second day. In the return direction, the train will leave from Kottayam at 10-30 p.m. to reach Secunderabad at 4 a.m. on third day.
The train will run via Kacheguda, Dronachalam, Guntakal, Dharmavaram, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Erode, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town. The train will have 12 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-Cum-Second Class Coaches, according to a railway release.
The special train will leave from Secunderabad on December 12, 19, 26 and 30, January 2, 6, 9 and 13 and from Kottayam on December 13, 20, 27, 31 and January 3, 7, 10 and 14.
The 726/725 Kakinada-Kottayam specials will depart from Kakinada Town at 9-45 a.m. to arrive at Kottayam on the second day at 4 p.m. In the return direction, the special train will depart from Kottayam railway station at 7-45 p.m. to reach Kakinada town at 11-45 p.m. on the second day.
The train will run via Rajamundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Erode, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town. It will have 13 Sleeper class, 2 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-Second Class coaches.
The train will leave from Kakinada on December 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 and 29 and on January 1, 5, 8 and 12 and from Kottayam on December 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30 and January 2, 6, 9 and 13.
The 727M/728M Narasapur-Kottayam Specials will depart from Narasapur at 10-30 a.m. to reach Kottayam at 4 p.m. on the second day. In the return, the train will leave from Kottayam at 7-45 p.m. to reach Narasapur at 00-00 hours the next day.
The train will run via Palakole, Bimavaram, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Ongole, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Erode, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town railway stations. The train will have 13 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-Second Class coaches.
According to a railway release, the special train will leave from Narasapur on December 29 and January 4 and 11 and from Kottayam on December 29 and January 5 and 12.
