Honeywell in alliance with Raj Lubricants

CHENNAI, DEC. 13. Honeywell International, a $24 billion
diversified technology and manufacturing leader providing
materials, products and solutions worldwide, and the Chennai-
based Raj Lubricants, a member of the Raj group, have announced
their intention to form an alliance in manufacturing and
marketing in the domestic and overseas markets.
Mr. Bipin Nanavati, Managing Director, Raj Lubricants and Mr.
Fred Pereira, Business Director, Specialty Wax and Additives
business, Asia Pacific, signed the memorandum of understanding
(MoU) here today in this regard.
Addressing presspersons, Mr. Nanavati said as part of the MoU
both companies would offer their manufacturing expertise. Both
companies were evaluating opportunities to manufacture gels and
jellies that have applications in several growth industries.
The objective of the MoU is to develop a strong, competitive
manufacturing cum marketing base for India and Asia Pacific
region, to combine international capabilities of Honeywell and
local strengths of Raj group for maximum synergy and to lead
cooperation to wider areas of growth, he added.
The Rs. 100 crore Raj group has seven manufacturing units - five
in Chennai, one in Mumbai and one in Ankleshwar.
Specialty Wax and Additives is a strategic business enterprise
within the Performance Polymers and Chemicals group in Honeywell.
